Bridal Tea and Uncle Sam!

Mrs. Louise Tucker and I at the Bridal Tea!!
Party #2... what a success!! I tell you what, I am so blown away by the support and love that God has placed in Christopher and I's relationship! This past sunday was the Bridal Tea, which by the way, no one can prepare a bride for the pain you feel after the party from standing in one place for 2 1/2 hours, but it was well worth it! As the guest started arriving and my sweet mother and future mother in law stood at the front door greeting people, it hit me... these sweet ladies have come here today to celebrate the joining of not only two people, but two families, and they are for our marriage and want to support us. Each woman that entered the foyer would hug me as I thanked them for coming, and each one replied by thanking me for inviting them... wait, I thought I was the one who needed to be thankful? Everyone was so excited about being a part of our big day and this exciting time. The Tea was given by many of my mother and I's friends and was so special. The Tea was held at the home of Louise Tucker, one of my mother's life long friends that is so near and dear to our family! Those woman did such and amazing job hosting the party for us and I loved every minute! after the party was over we started loading the car or should I say cars up with presents. My heavens I was so overwhelmed with how much stuff there was packed into our cars! My sweet husband to be came over and helped us load it all up and transport it to my house, where my mother sister and I spent about an hour unloading all the gift and figuring out what came from who. Gosh, we have had only two parties thus far and yet our breakfast room and dining room in my parents house is packed full of presents!! incredible! Our home is going to be so beautiful, thank you all for loving us so much!!! We are so blessed by your unconditional love and support!
My Sweet Husband To Be

Later that night, Christopher and went to visit his Uncle Sam who was in town passing through from Texas. He has got to be one of the neatest people I have ever met. You don't meet many people in this life that are just ok being who they are and proud of it! Uncle Sam definently falls into this category. Uncle Sam is a cowboy from texas of whom you will rarely see walking around without blue jeans on and his white cowboy hat! We sat there last night listening to some of his stories and he is just the funniest guy! so real and very sweet! He will be at the wedding in April so be sure to look for the long gray ponytail under a big white cowboy hat.... in fact, there might be a few men dressed like this, and I can't wait to meet them all!

Showers, Hearts and More!

The Sweet Hostess' of the Around the House Shower. What great friends we have!!

This Past Friday was Christopher and I's First Wedding Shower! Julie Cole, Rachel Green, Amy Barrett Downs and Meredith Moorer gave us an Around the House Shower! Of Course it was a love theme complete with heart decorations and a chocolate fountain (which Hallie loved). We had so much fun with our family and friends, even though the snow was coming down the whole afternoon, precious people still came out in the tretcherous weather to celebrate! In fact, many of our dear ones almost had a few wrecks along the way... what dedication and love!! It was such a blast, and little Hallie was such a princess greeting everyone and helping me and Daddy open presents. Her favorite present was the 100 cookie cutters we got along with some sugar cookie mix, thank you Amy and Jim Patillo!! We got so much cool stuff. Everything from cooking utensils and supplies, to a crock pot, roll tide red kitchen aid mixer, bake pans, plates and bowls, picture frames and a coffee table! Christopher and I were overwhelmed with the love from our friends and family! Everyone is so excited about our marriage and we are so grateful for their love and support. After unwrapping all the gifts and thanking everyone, we got to hang out with a bunch of our friends we haven't seen in a while! Gosh we miss you all. I think we have a list a mile long of people we want to have over! thank the Lord we got a crock pot... We can feed you all! God is just so good to us and we don't ever want to forget all the wonderful things he has done and continues to do! Now on to writing thank you notes, I don't wanna get behind! here I go!!

71 days and counting!!

There are so many things that happen during an engaement and quite frankly I don't want to forget one thing! I have never done a blog before, but what a great time to start. Christopher and I have been engaged for what seems like an eternity, but thank the Lord we are about to tie the knot soon. April 17 2010 is our wedding date and plans seem to be coming together quite smoothly!! Each day we get one step closer. Whether its picking up our wedding book from Monograms Plus, getting ready for our first shower, ordering one of the pillows for our bedding or continuing our bible studies each night, our anticipation grows minute by minute!! Not to mention that little Hallie boo is bursting at the seems; she can't wait for us to be a family! Or maybe she cant wait to sleep in her new bed... either way she is just as excited as we are!! Even though we feel like our engagement has been an eternity, and still seems to be, God has blessed us in so many ways over the last 7 months. We have learned so much about each other through premarital counseling with Dr. Howard Eyrich and just walking through life together. We know that this long wait will be worth the wait in 71 days and for the rest of our lives!! come on April..... hurry up!
